Wells Fargo is back in the Phishing pond with a fraud email campaign that’s noteworthy only for the length of the subject line:

Subject:      Your Online Statement Summary Is Now Available To View Online
From:     Wells Fargo Online <customer.alert@wellsfargo.com>

The email body informs you:

Dear Valued Customer,

Your online statement summary is now available to view online.
So, go and take a look, it’s there to keep you in the know by detailing your transactions.

Please remember to always keep your receipts safe, check them off against your statement and dispose of them carefully.
If you spot a transaction that you don’t recognize you can get help from the link on your statement,

if anything still seems wrong contact us straight away.

Naturally, the sender address is spoofed, these don’t really come from Wells Fargo addresses.  More importantly, the last sentence in the email is hyperlinked, but not to any Wells Fargo website.

Instead the links in these emails will lead you to hijacked servers that masqurade as legitimate login pages in an attempt to trick users into providing their username and password to the spammers responsible for this campaign.
