Yahoo Pulse Blog – A Good Hosting Tool for Spammers

Yahoo has apparently found yet another way to assist spammers.

As if longstanding abuses of Yahoo Groups weren’t enough for the spammed masses to suffer though, their blog site, Yahoo Pulse, is now making life easier and more productive for spammers as well.

The latest emails being spewed throughout the Internet have long and convoluted Subject lines (in an attempt to evade spam filtering) that allude to online sales of medications, such as:

Thursday, February 4th, 2010 is the latest “content sharing” site to succumb to being used and abused as a spam tool.  So much so that over 98% of emails containing links to  “” sent to clients are spam.

Zoomshare Hosts Spam Where Geocities Left Off

Now that Geocities closed it’s doors, (more missed by spammers than actual users no doubt) Zoomshare has stepped up to welcome the spamming clientele.

From their homepage:

Welcome Former GeoCities Customers!
Zoomshare: Providing Free Sites Since 2004

While there’s no doubt legitimate users, Zoomeshare doesn’t appear to have any better spam/abuse management than did Geocities.
