New Message from Online Banking – Chase Card Services Fraud

The newest JP Morgan Chase email Phishing fraud is now being sent as:

Subject:     New Message from Online Banking
From:     “Chase Card Services”<SMChaseNotification@emailonline.chase.com>

The spoofed email itself looks convincing enough:

Further, the warning seems quite plausible:

You have received this email because you or someone had used your account from different locations.

For security purpose, we are required to open an investigation into this matter.

However, the link you are directed to displays as a SSL Secure link:

https://www.chase.com

When in fact it will take you to any number of  hijacked web sites displaying replicas of the actual Chase login site.

Submitting your actual JP Morgan Chase username and login to these Phishing sites will be providing this information to the spammers who originate these fraud emails.
