Chase Online :Unauthorized Account Access – Phishing Fraud

Phishing frauds targeting JP Morgan Chase are arriving, identified as:

Subject:     Chase Online :Unauthorized Account Access
From:     Chase Online <>

The sending address is spoofed as these actually originate from any number of otherwise legitimate hijacked web servers.

The fraudulent email attempts to convince recipients that their account is in jeopardy and that as a result they need to log into the Chase site.

We recently have discovered that different computers have logged into your Chase Online Banking Account, and multiple password failures were present before the logons.

In this manner, for your security, your specified access account has been locked and needs to be reactivated, in order for it to remain active, please Use the link below to proceed and unlock your account.

As is most common with these Phishing frauds, the phrase “Chase Online Banking” is hyper-linked, but instead of leading to a legitimate Chase web site you are instead taken to a faked login designed to capture your actual Chase login and password, should you complete the online form.
